The oil spill threatens the Gulf Coast and the Eastern Sea Board. The American economy is undergoing a painful transition. The effects of the oil spill are felt in the nation's Stock Market. We live in a Global society. The world's financial systems are interconnected.
It is time for all Americans to work together, the Tea Party, Republicans, Democrats, Christians, Jews and those of the Islamic faith need to hope for a positive outcome. No political party is in a position to gloat over the present crises for a political gain.
There are times when tragic events serve as painful reminders and teachers. The present oil spill lets us know that human beings are helpless in the face of nature. Hopefully BP will soon find a solution.

It is my belief that the oil industry and the American public will learn from the crises which has taken over 12 lives and caused an unspecified amount of environmental harm. The oil spill lessons are painful and expensive but the knowledge gained from the tragedy can potentially lead to better oil drilling techniques and hopefully a better future for the next generation. Prior to the great fire of Chicago most the buildings were wood structures. Over 18,000 buildings were destroyed in the fire. After the fire the city was rebuilt with steel and brick.Numerous procedures to stop the flow of oil have failed. It is time to combine human efforts with divine intervention. I believe in the power of prayer. I have faced numerous challenges in America and abroad. Prayer brought me through many crises. I believe prayer is the answer to the present oil spill crises. The person or the nation who humbles themselves by honoring the power and the authority of God will receive a positive answer to prayer.

There were times in the past when America turned to God and her prayers were answered. Countless Americans prayed during the first, and Second World War God answered the prayers of America when the nation was drawn into wars due to enemy aggression. This may be a time in history when America needs to turn to God and ask for his guidance in controlling the oil spills. National prayer has reaped some amazing results in America and throughout the world.

I am calling on all Americans and all citizens of good will to pray for our youth, the economy, the church, the family and pray that the oil spill will be brought under control. I believe if America comes together and pray within the homes, the churches and the communities that God will hear the prayers of a nation that is undergoing one of its most devastating environmental crises. Those who fast along with praying should also include the control of the oil spill within their period of consecration. The world is dealing with the forces of nature; it is time to pray to one who controls nature.

Maybe the recent escalation of natural disasters such hurricanes, volcanoes and tornadoes is God's way of getting our attention. Perhaps God is saying it is time to depend on him rather than placing full faith in money and material possessions. I am calling on the citizens of this county and the citizens of the world to share the message of this article with others. It is time to pray for the survival of the American economy. The American economy fuels the world economy. What happens in America has dire consequences in what happens in China, Russia, England and all of the countries of the world. The future of the American economy and the frequency of natural disasters are in the hands of God. Let us pray to God for guidance in all of our endeavors.
