Have a Action Plan

Have an action plan

Successful people  are usually goal oriented. Dr. Martin Luther King was a goal oriented person, he had a specific goal and some clearly defined objectives and a solid action plan to achieve his goal. He was not afraid of listening to different ideas of men and women who were accomplished in their right. He surrounded himself with strong capable associates.

The dream that men, women, boys and girls would judge each other by the content of their character rather than by the color of their skin was the driving force and a frame of reference that kept Dr. King focused on achieving his goals and objectives.

Dr. King created an atmosphere which allowed America to see and feel the pain of racial injustice. King used his intelligence, his charisma and his spiritual connection with God to compel lawyers, judges and politicians to revisit race relations in America for the purpose of finding ways to abolish unjust laws and to level the playing field for all men and women regardless of race color or creed.

Dr. King was blessed with wisdom beyond his years, he lived 39 short years yet his accomplishments in the area of race relations are unparallel in American history. His charisma allowed him to communicate with the masses in a mesmerizing way. The Gift of Wisdom and a specific action plan allowed Dr. King to learn some of the most complex lessons in life in a very short period of time.

I appeal to all youth to become goal oriented, record your dreams and aspirations on a word processor or on a sheet of paper, list specific goals, state your objectives, compose a detailed action plan to achieve stated goals and objectives. The action plan should include obeying parents and of course parents should show love and respect for their children. Listening to sound instructions, during household chores and obeying Civil laws and School rules should also be a part of the action plan if success is to be achieved.

Personal responsibility is also a key ingredient for success, this why I appeal to youth who surf the internet to visit appropriate sites that will aide in achieving goals and objectives. Negative sexual images and provocative violence will not help in the achievement of positive goals and objectives.

Spending long hours interacting with movie stars, rappers and athletics in cyberspace can be counterproductive to long term success. Pseudo internet relationships have the potential of hindering the goal of getting a good education and securing a good paying job.

To our future doctors, lawyers, policemen, nurses, teachers, firemen and general workers, stay focused have an action plan, and remember to pray for the success of your future endeavors.
