It is time to Modify the No Child Left Behind Act
According to the U.S. government data and the Wikipedia Encyclopedia the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001( Public law 107-110) was passed in the House of Representatives on the 23rd. of May and signed by President Bush on the 8th of January 2002.
The act reauthorized a number of federal programs to improve the performance of U. S. primary and secondary schools by increasing the standards of accountability for states and school districts.

True Conservatives
There is a consensus among many Americans that a person is a socialist or has socialist ideas when there is mention of government help for a person or a family who truly needs financial assistance. A major illness or a prolonged loss of employment has the potential of forcing high income, well educated, super religious, ultra liberal and even my fellow conservatives to seek assistance from the government or other agencies when survival is at stake.
Based on my lifestyle and moral views most people place me in the conservative camp.

The recent Supreme Court ruling has the potential to derail the progress of women
The recent supreme ruling which invalidated voluntary integration plans in the school districts of Seattle, Washington and metropolitan Louisville, Kentucky is consistent with a trend which begun in 1978 with the University of California /Blakke case where the Supreme Court imposed limitations on affirmative action programs which had insured minimal minority representation in certain venues.

Time to Teach Youth about the Real World
It is time to step up to the plate and teach young people about the real world. Images of constant fun and games on television and the playing of animated computer games that simulate violent acts has lured many youth into a mode of thinking that there are no significant challenges or dangers in life and no serious negative behavioral consequences.
The importance of hard work, the value of delaying gratification for greater gain, and the significance of setting goals and objectives is not emphasized by most contemporary media outlets.

Patience is a key to Academic Success
Patience is a lost virtue for many who live in our contemporary society. People of all ages, races and social economic backgrounds appear to be extremely impatient. The pursuit of pleasure is a constant pastime for many people. The concept of hard work and sacrifice seems to be a fading quest of years gone by.
The pursuit of fun and games and a saturation of computer and technical devices are major challenges to the concept of patience.
